You know... my issue with this shyt is people are quick to say

"Let uber pay them, that's the employer, why should I tip?"

But then some time back when Uber was in court and we supporting shutting them down for not paying a wage properly, the same people saying the above shyt were against it because they didn't want to lose their fukking trash food delivery....

Like... We had a chance to get these corps right, and nikkas wont support it, but nikkas want to take advantage of the broken system too... I guess thats just america for you. :francis:

I googled this so this can be a discussion with a foundation.

"The expense of creating a food delivery app like DoorDash can range from $10,000 and $70,000. The costs and the final cost are based on several factors, such as the number of features available, the quality of the app, as well as demands of the marketplace, and even the business needs".

If this is indeed true, and the delivery app creator owns 0 cars and have 0 need to pay rent for their business. Why won't they pay the drivers more since their overhead is so low? They actually can make money while working another job.
Because they are greedy and pass the cost onto us due to tipping culture. Honestly restaurants should raise their cost across the board and just pay their workers a fair wage. But that would require math to find a solution where both parties are happy and that’s too hard for these owners.

then they can stop and pick up their food on the way home.

And the drivers can stop working and demand the delivery companies to pay more.

I understand the frustration, but you have delivery drivers who don't need much from money a delivery app. And some who really depend on that to make a living.. These app companies understand this, thats why they refuse to pay more, because they know someone else who just need a couple of dollars will do it.

Its a f*cked up situation but this is the reality.

Don't buy q luxury car if you can't afford the upkeep. Isn't that what ppl always say?

Well, don't have someone deliver your food to your door if you can't tip. It's a luxury service to have a person drive your meals to your front door

In this case, the driver can see the tip so unless the customer pulled back their tip, then he shouldn't have accepted the order

what does that have to do with the delivery person?

if the rising cost of the pizza is prohibiting you from tipping your delivery driver, go pick it up or eat something else.
They didn’t charge a delivery a tip was a “tip” now you’re double tipping on top of inflated costs :francis:
