i agree in general that tipping culture is ridiculous, but it also is a service to have your food delivered to you.

if you're struggling so badly that you can't tip your delivery man at all, then you should go get your food your damn self imo.

You paid extra over the sticker price to get the service. Thats between him and the owners of the app that set up that delivery.. How does the customer get tied in the middle of this sh*t?

If I'm seeing him act like that, I'm definitely tipping. Dude might be on edge and try to harm you for $2

If I'm already paying the fee ,why do I also have to tip? Sounds like the app and driver need to work something out .
You guys can play with the people handling your food. All fun and games till some unhinged white boy give your chicken parm sandwich the tip.

I tip 25% on deliveries.

Usually my wife and I are good about tipping even when we are down bad, but some of them delivery drivers whoooo boy. Like this one chick was so fukking lazy with not getting some of our items and had the gall to leave our shyt at the bottom of the steps, so my son had to get it.

And this was after she got tipped since we usually give tips before the order, depending on how we are feeling.

It sucks because the ones go out their way, always get shyt canned for entitled pricks like ole "Law and Order" door knocking sounding CAC.

I usually tip but I don't do door dash or anything like that cuz I'd rather go get my own food. I just think tipping is getting kinda crazy . .. even when I pick up my own pizza they want a tip. Subway got a tip jar ,go buy fireworks and they ask for a tip lol shyts annoying

yeah this i agree is where it is out of hand

not on food deliveries or if you had service at like a bar or sit down restaurant.. stuff like that is a culturally accepted norm.

I googled this so this can be a discussion with a foundation.

"The expense of creating a food delivery app like DoorDash can range from $10,000 and $70,000. The costs and the final cost are based on several factors, such as the number of features available, the quality of the app, as well as demands of the marketplace, and even the business needs".

If this is indeed true, and the delivery app creator owns 0 cars and have 0 need to pay rent for their business. Why won't they pay the drivers more since their overhead is so low? They actually can make money while working another job.

Yea I don’t tip on pick up and I most certainly don’t tip for fast food. The whole argument for tipping is because a server is getting 3 dollars an hour. McDonald’s employees out here making 20 an hour, no tip for you :mjlol: .
