From my interpretation, there's a good chance it does melt due to warming but no one really knows when, how and to what degree...

We have all the tools and resources to reduce emissions and green house effect and help heal the earths atmosphere but there is no money in it and many big time players would be affected by it.

Exactly. Climate change is real serious and it’s not a problem that is gonna happen 100-200 years from now. In our lifetime we are going to face the brunt of climate change and we need to major action now not talk of action. We are very likely going to reach 1.5 degrees Celsius by the end of this decade. This was something we have been saying for decades to try not to let happen but it’s gonna happen likely by 2027 or 2028. That doesn’t mean much for us in rich countries but poor countries are about to get wrecked by storms, drought, water and food shortages which means more refugees and more conflict. Now the next target to not reach is 2 degrees. Which is hell on earth. Not to mention once we reach 2 degrees Celsius we will have a blue ocean event which would have catastrophic consequences for the world whether rich or poor nations.
People may critique as sensationalism but we need to do this to have people wake up and demand our political leaders to actually do something about it. In my opinion though nothing will be done and the next 15-25 years will be a disaster for this planet. Don’t get me started about the Permafrost in the North Pole and Siberia.
