And NOTHING meaningful is being done about climate change. Think about that for a minute. Climate change could literally crush humanity and nothing is being done. At some point people are going to start taking extreme actions due to our governments inability to address the situation. I wouldn't be surprised if some billionaire starts spraying sulfates into the atmosphere and regular citizen start becoming eco terrorists. Extreme measures are going to be taken because world governments failed us.

I'm an optimist on most issues, but this one is so hard for me not to be a doomer on.

I'm just thankful that most of us in here were blessed to be born during a time when we could still experience a lot of this earth's beauty, and we didn't have have to spend most of our lives on the planet with how it's likely to be around here sooner than later.

This is why i don't understand people that be buying real estate in areas that are vulnerable to climate change.
It wont be a good investment in 10-20 years.

Also , a majority of people still think that the effect of climate change are decades away , when its actually happening right now.

It will eventually be a human threat to people living in coastal cities. If you think otherwise I implore you to move to Miami to prove us wrong.

Also you're right once a glacier is gone, its gone and not coming back on a timescale relevant to humans. But the fact our activity on earth has caused a glacier (which took hundreds of thousands of years to form btw), is melting over the course of a single human lifetime should be alarming and is a testament of how much we do have an impact.
