Just checked, they got legitimate criticisms that I actually agree with. I don't think they are weird outside of them giving 0s instead of 6s or 7s. But I guess for some people everything is either a 0 or a 10.
I'm on the last stage of the game and I still think Doom 2016 is better, this game is fun but they changed it a lot from what Doom originally was. I see both sides. Its funny tho because when people criticize this game people just say its because your trash, but the people criticizing it mostly are long standing doom fans that been playing it since the OGs.
Damned if you do. Damned if you don't.
People complain a sequel is too samey or too different.
I love this game 10x more than Doom (2016). Doom overstayed it's welcome and game is kind of broken with infinite ammo rune. The game got boring for me around Vega level. I wasn't the biggest fan of Doom 2016. It was a bit too conservative. It was great sleeper hit in my book.
Doom Eternal is something I can play for a long time. It does has some weird
presentation issues, but some of those complaints are petty entitled bullshyt.
Complaining about Pacing? Graphics? platforming? Even same damn music from 2016?
I can understand gripes about the gameplay, but even the developer stated multiple times on the changes to combat and the purposes behind it. So, I can't even given them that.
The only legit thing I can argue is the multi being unbalanced as fukk and barebones because they refuse to compete with Quake Champion. They still should of done a PvE mode and other none death match stuff. The toturial are intrusive as fukk and menu are super mediocre.
Everthing else is super nit picky... Cutscenes? Gameplay loop being too chaotic? Power up and pick ups being to video gamey while you play a video game? Skill system is too overwhelming like really?
Still a 9.0 in my book. Probably a 9.5 after all the DLC drops.
