Game is straight fire so far.
Playing the game on hard feels great.
You definitely can’t stay still at all. The ammo is limited but it’s done so to force you to stay engaged and use your chainsaw to re-up quickly.
People that want to fall back and pick off enemies a few at a time are going to have the hardest time with this game. You have to get in there and get messy. Im impressed with how much action is going on at once and the game stays silky smooth.

Yeah I'm one of those types of guys that did that in the last game a lot, I've come to realize that the last game just gave you a lot of things that you were able to fall back on as a crutch and they just don't exist anymore. This game makes you work, and makes you learn all your guns and be creative.

The last game played very different. They gave you a TON of ammo out the gate and really I found the best strategy was to pick enemies apart a few at a time and go in for the glory kill. The chainsaw was designed to be used sparingly.
This game forces you to be liberal with the chainsaw and I think that’s what’s throwing most people off. It’s a whole different approach especially compared to the last game. You HAVE to get in there and not be afraid to let that chainsaw rip. Also, melee is much weaker in this game so again...use that chainsaw liberally.
Also, I LOVE how you can actually see enemy damage now. You straight blow chunks of flesh off enemies. It makes the whole world feel more alive.

Here’s a bit of my gameplay from today.
Mixer | Interactive Livestreaming
(I’m not very familiar with Mixer...I usually stream straight to YouTube on PS4. I wanted to put a link straight to my mixer stream but didn’t see the option on the phone.
Side note: I copped an Elgato HD60s+ thinking it would be a simple plug and play solution to stream games to YouTube with custom overlays......I was wrong. The whole set up is crazy cumbersome and the stream quality is no where as good as just streaming straight from the console. I wish Microsoft would just give us the option to stream to YouTube natively like ps4. Twitch is cool, and so is mixer, but I’d like to archive my content indefinitely and right now YouTube is the only platform I’m aware of that does that)

I like that this game is a modern take on Doom 2 so they brought back a lot of shyt from that, which is cool, but they really OD'd. Like they made the Doom 2 cyberdemon a regular enemy in this and there's only like 4 of those in that game

I never thought I'd say a Doom game has too much action but this might be the one. Over halfway through the game and I'm feeling burnt out.
