As a New Yorker who spend time in early 90s south central. LA is as fake as Atlanta/NYC and any other city that attracts an excessive about of transplants from the middle of nowhere USA.

The fake aspect is the outsiders watering shyt down..

I'll defend LA all day but honestly I think it's goofy when LA folk act like it's only transplants who give off "fake" energy

the fakeness comes from seeing relationships as transactional (what can I get out of knowing/being associated with this person?) and narcissism, which I see plenty of in homegrown Angelenos, and yes this includes folk from the hood

another complaint is the hedonistic mindset and immaturity which is also prevalent in native Angelenos. I want the trust fund babies and illegals to leave too but we don't gotta cap either
