the ether
I don't know how anyone in America can brag about their state being better in anything. The whole country is literally behind in almost every metric that means anything to the average person but you still have these silly state battles. :mjlol:

California is a homeless wasteland where even low six figure tech bros are being priced out 70 miles from the city. New York is an urban hellscape of rampant mental illness and bedroom sized apartments renting for 2k or more. Not to mention all of the COVID deaths there due to incompetence and purposely overloading hospitals in "certain" neighborhoods. In Illinois you have Chicago, enough said.

By any measure public transportation across the country is HORRIBLE. Healthcare is HORRIBLE. Education is HORRIBLE. You can see the last one just by posting here everyday. Also there are toll roads in almost every state. It's the easiest and quickest way to fund new highway projects. I hate them but the Feds aren't coming off that highway money like this is the 50s. Also, the nerve of people on the east coast talking about Texas tolls. That whole Hell's Triangle (PA/NY/NJ) is choked with tolls. And it's FILTHY. In places like California the immense homeless population has caused some areas to look like post apocalyptic wastelands but in the east the shyt is just shytty looking and bummy naturally. It looks third world in a lot of those areas. Rampant dumping of trash on occupied residential streets.

In many ways America is like Special Education compared to the rest of the world. No one applauds the "smartest" kid in special education, they all just assume they are various levels of stupid and feel sorry for them. When I see people showing pride in their states like this I say it's no different than being a flag waver. The stench of America is saturated into every square inch of this country.

Always thought about Texas and asked around

Pros:
STEM Job opportunities
Much larger and cheaper Housing
Renting is much better
All kinds of good food
High percentage of black women
No income tax
No heavy winter snow

Cons:
Conservative Racism can be tiresome
High Property taxes and tolls everywhere
Hot AF all the time
Long commutes and traffic to go anywhere

There's other states that arent as bad

Pros:
STEM Job opportunities - Tech in Austin, but in Houston you’re doing O&G or Medical

Much larger and cheaper Housing - Houston compared to Austin & Dallas yes, but start considering other costs as utilities & gas.

Renting is much better - Houston yes

All kinds of good food - that’s anywhere depending on food preference but yes TexMex & BBQ are undefeated

High percentage of black women - if you like bbws yea

No income tax - heavily overrated when property taxes, social systems, and tolls are considered

No heavy winter snow - and the state is never prepared and you better show up to work

Cons:
Conservative Racism can be tiresome - Not in the metro area
High Property taxes and tolls everywhere - FACTS
Hot AF all the time - FACTS
Long commutes and traffic to go anywhere - FACTS

But is she lying about any of this, especially the toll and energy bill?

There are toll roads. There are non toll roads. This is how it works everywhere.. I pay over $400 a month on my energy bill. Where is it affordable?

If Texas ever gets legal weed I’m moving there permanently. The republicans time is coming to an end in Texas. It’s growing to fast to stay with them dated ideas.

:picard: Anywhere not the south that shyt heavily regulated up north. My monthly bill never got over 60$

how many bedrooms you got? How many bathrooms you got? Attic? Basement? Are they finished? Is your garage heated and attached? Sunroom? Living room and family room? Dining room? Do you have a pool filter you run?

I’m just trying to figure out what are we talking about that costs $60 a month to heat or cool?

in dallas, if u stay off the tollway....

them tolls tax like a MF'er.
shyt, I'm in North Dallas/Frisco area. Ain't no fukking way to avoid them unless you wanna take a hour and a half to get somewhere. I don't know shyt about welfare, but everything else, even though she annoying as hell, is damn near spot on.

And add the fact that once California based companies like Toyota moved their headquarters and employees down here, it fukking destroyed the housing and rent market. People came with their bags of California cash and were willing to pay damn near double for shyt here than it was originally priced at cause it was still a deal compared to Cali. fukking prices skyrocketed. When I first moved down here shyt was pretty reasonable.

Bay Area
worse environmental protections, worse air quality rules, higher crime rates,
You always lying

I live in the fire zone, we have the worst air quality (what the fukk are rules for air quality?) in the world once a year usually.

Texas does not have worse crime :mjlol: maybe by a per 100,000 basis because both states are huge and theirs so many small towns where nothing happens. You like them analytic nba watchers. But the bulk of the state’s population, no where in texas ever makes top 25 crime stats. Where as California usually has 3-5 cities in the top 25.

Theres not 1 city in Texas worse than Oakland, Vallejo, Stockton or San Bernadino :camby: not dallas, not houston, nothing.

Its hard to argue with someone who thinks texas has worse crime than california

The twenty cities with the highest violent crime rates (number of incidents per 100,000 people) are:

  1. St. Louis, MO (2,082)
  2. Detroit, MI (2,057)
  3. Baltimore, MD (2,027)
  4. Memphis, TN (2,003)
  5. Little Rock, AR (1,634)
  6. Milwaukee, WI (1,597)
  7. Rockford, IL (1,588)
  8. Cleveland, OH (1,557)
  9. Stockton, CA (1,415)
  10. Albuquerque, NM (1,369)
  11. Springfield, MO (1,339)
  12. Indianapolis, IN (1,334)
  13. Oakland, CA (1,299)
  14. San Bernardino, CA (1,291)
  15. Anchorage, AK (1,203)
  16. Nashville, TN (1,138)
  17. Lansing, MI (1,136)
  18. New Orleans, LA (1,121)
  19. Minneapolis, MN (1,101)
  20. Chicago, IL (1,099)

Any texas cities on here? Help me find it
