“Don’t call me African” – Black America’s identity crisis

Personally speaking, I don't want to be labeled as African either. I am African-American and I only want to be labeled as such. People always want to denigrate African Americans when it comes to intelligence and education attainment; so when I do well academically speaking, I ALWAYS want to acknowledge that I am African American. It's just personal for me.

I have a lot to say about this. Stuff that would blow everyone's mind in here about where (The majority not all) us Black American's REALLY come from (and no its not directly from Africa and its been proven) but that is a topic for another day

African and African Americans are so far removed I don't blame Africans Americans for not wanting to be African. but the mentality Africans should have towards African Americans should be this.

We are distant brothers and sisters based on circumstance were seperated, a long waited family reunion is due. Africa welcomes you back, if you choose to come back, with open arms.

There's a reason this exists. A big part of it is the US government's deliberate act to cause division between Africans in the US and Africans throughout the diaspora. It's why blacks in the US were denied Visa's to fight with Ethiopia when Italy tried to invade them.
