Better to reign in Hell than serve in Heaven
Damn you got to pay nikkas for lyrics nowadays :wow:

Game crazy
:mindblown:

so you think you should write a song, record the lyrics, put it out, copyright it, sell it.... then someone slides in that never met you, took your lyrics and made a hit, and gets paid off that...

and your belief is that they shouldn't have to pay for that?? :dahell:

so i can just drop a song where i steal half of jay-z's hook and put it out and you think he should be cool with that? come on y'all

So what's that.. Like a seat in row 60 at the $$Mayweather fight ?
everybody isn't a "coli it major" and make 100k annually, that's more than what the majority of this country makes a year for not doing a damn thing, plus I hear he has his own sneaker business he runs.

that nikka should be good for life.

He's only seeing 5% of the royalties though.
I'm sure people who had a much bigger hand in the song are seeing much more
money.

You're too hype. Are you Trinidad james?

I was more so talking about using other lyrics period.

I've been listening to rap for like 20 years and I've hears hov, beans and many others borrow a line here or there but never knew they had to give others writing credits.

The Drake who do you love was the first time j hears about someone getting sued for it thats why I am surprised

Whats crazy is the song only grossed over $840,000 but it sold over 5 million, what the hell? I see why Jay-Z did that spectacle about tidal paying more to artists, because how can you sell over 5 million songs, and just get over $840,000? I'm sure the song got even more spins so the publishing gross should be at least $1.5-$2 million dollars.

Damn, the music game is being pimped by technology companies. I guess the chickens have come home to roost. Labels did it to artists, and now technology companies are doing it to labels, and artists. Artists do need to stop this shyt.
