Don't Believe the Hype
Pretty sure Cleveland 2 years ago is the only series they’ve won against a team besides the twins in the last 15 years aside from 2009. They might have one other series win, but they’ve been pissing down their leg for the last 15 years now unless they play the twins. In fact they had a series or postseason along the way where they set the record for worst batting average as a team, and have to be pretty close to it this series too.
Baltimore in '12, but your point is valid. We ain't do SH!T against the Tigers in the ALCS that year.

Today was embarrassing. Thing is, Houston is just the better all-around squad, so what can you do at this point? Yanks look funny in the light, man. It's a bummer, for sure.

Over 162 games our bats are unstoppable. But over those 162 games you can have cold streaks and at the end it looks good still. That is what the fukk is happening to our team. .... we need a new strategy cuz this shyt ain’t it.

Breh the place was flooded with drunk CACs. I got there in the bottom of the 1st and people were already shytfaced and stuffing their faces with hotdogs and chicken fingers. Pure fukkery and the stadium was beyond packed.

but there were some true fans there who understood what this game meant. This team will have to pull ALOT out of their asses to shake this series up because the Astros have them on the ropes and thensome and they at least owe it to the fans to not have them doing the Milly Rock on the stadium grass tomorrow.

Cashman is on borrowed time and deserves to get the boot for this shyt even tho he won’t. Boone survives this one because he won 100+ games but that 100 don’t mean shyt when you can’t win 11 in October.
I stayed til the last pitch. Hated doing it tho.

They only finished four games apart during the season. That’s a razor thin margin and the Yankees had chance after chance after chance to break open each of these games. 0 for 16 with runners in scoring position over the last 3 games. Nearly 30 men left on base. Boone keeps putting ottavino in while every batter seems to strike out badly with a chance to put the team ahead while the Astros starter is reeling. It’s like the 2011 and 2012 nba finals. Most of the games were close and both years the two teams finished one game apart in the standings, but one team keeps making mistakes and poor coaching decisions in the pressure situations. The problem is that the Yankees lack leadership to keep them steady when the pressure is on and their idiot manager keeps putting ottavino in when he keeps fukking up so then the game gets away from them late. He said Stanton was available to pinch hit. When it’s bases loaded and 2 outs and your DH who’s 1 for 11 with 7 strikeouts is due up, is that not the time to pinch hit him? Either he’s lying to the press or he’s an idiot. There’s no one glaring issue. It’s all the little problems that compounds on each other.

Yankees fans taunt Zack Greinke about social anxiety disorder and depression

Chants digging at Greinke’s battles with a social anxiety disorder and depression rained down on the 35-year-old right-hander as he threw to a catcher.

Fans leaned over the concrete barrier between the stands and the bullpen and shouted insults about Greinke’s mother, too.

Police officers in the bullpen and bleachers reportedly ejected one fan for his behavior regarding Greinke.

Astros closer Roberto Osuna heard it all, and he was not pleased with the manner in which Yankees fans go about supporting their team.

Osuna, who warmed up during the eighth inning, said Yankees fans crossed the line when they taunted him and his teammates throughout the game Thursday. Osuna said heckling fans are worse at Yankee Stadium than anywhere else.

“Bringing up stuff about your mother and your family,” Osuna said. “We're here doing our job. We play baseball. We try to put a good show out there. You can say whatever you want to us and we're not going to get offended. But when you bring up somebody's family or mother, I feel like that's too much sometimes.

A lot of people were down on Greinke after his earlier postseason starts.

He didn’t put up a Verlander or Cole level performance, but he came through big in that first after getting out of the jam and then getting enough innings to bridge to the pen.

Hopefully he can be more confident moving forward
That’s exactly why we traded for him. At least 1 good start in October and that was it. He gave us Just enough to get to our pen and close that game out.
There was a stat that the last 5 or 6 WS winners made a big deadline move so hopefully we can carry that trend.
