If he wasn't EXPECTED to produce at that level Utah wouldn't be expecting the playoffs. Dude couldn't go around avg 15/5/5, no matter how nice the %s.
He needs to get more efficient, but let's have no doubt about the role he's being expected to fill.
Here we go again with the one man show narrative .....
1. He didnt play like "one of the best SG's last year" which is why he didnt get an all star nod or any of the 6 G spots on any the All Nba teams yet his team still made the playoffs ...so how the fukk would he personally be expected to be at that level this year when he didnt even need to be a top 5 PG/SG last year for them to make the playoffs that season lol
his TEAM was expected to make the playoffs this year because of how well his TEAM played last season ... this one man show false narrative is again a part of the reason why his expectations are so low and will continue to be low .... nobody would be criticizing this nikka if the jazz didnt make the playoffs this year they would be criticizing his teammates just like they did after that disgusting 4-22 performance
2.Effeciency isnt his only problem and yes lets make no mistakes about his role ... he is given a green light to chuck that only perhaps 3-4 other players are given ... i can name several players from previous seasons who are not elite that put up "numbers" when given that many shot attempts .... shyt Andrew "WeedPlate" Wiggins put up 24ppg in 16-17 when he was allowed to shoot 20 shots a game Brandon Jennings 20ppg on 17 attempts Andrea Bargnani put up 20+ on 18 shots etc etc etc .... but you nikkas keep believing that this little chucker is magical because hes free to do what he pleases on offense all game long
