I truly believe that the powers that be wants to make Chicago a white city. I've been working in housing for about 5 years now. There is a big push to get folks into the suburbs and gentrification is at a high right now. I agree something needs to be done but I also think local officials let it get this bad so they can get the exact reaction Trump is giving them now.

Like I said, I grew up in the 90's, lived in the projects, I've seen many dead bodies and heard hrs of gunfire over the years and never have I been scared to live in and walk around in Chicago, like I am now. Its different, very different and there is a reason for that. That is my point. The number of killings my have went down but the city is not as safe. Thats all I'm saying.

Sad truth is black folks don't police our own communities. We haven't done that since the black panthers. We let it get to this point. When the baltimore PD fell back last year crime and murders skyrocketed and black folks were begging them to come back in... The community had a chance to step up and failed cause unfortunately there is no real community any more.. we don't care about our neighbors. There are poor communities all over the world with low crime... being poor is not an excuse to kill and terrorize other black people. Even if trump is bluffing.. a crackdown in the future under another president is inevitable. You can see it coming a mile away.. How do yall think this is gonna end?

Black economic empowerment is the key.. but we are not rioting or marching for that when we should be. We are not rioting over these underfunded schools.. folks dont even show up to PTA meetings or ensure their kids even attend school these days.

Back when Ny & LA was averaging 2k & 1k murders yearly, smaller cities STILL had higher murder rates back then, but the media didnt care, they just focused on those two cities..

Plus those smaller cities with high crime are majority black, which is another reason why the media care less
