Im not talking about pure socialism simply talking about the mixed economy we already have but changing the way some of our resources are used and how richer individuals are taxed. Things like medicare for all and the 70% top marginal tax rate are polling well.

Totally agree...its just not socialism. Add the fact that many 50+ Americans (who are the most active voters) grew up during a time when they were doing nuclear attack drills in elementary school because of "socialism"...you're just never going to win enough of them over.
