Swamp Man will make a Black man wanna kill the nearest whiteman after reading it.


That scene in "whitemans justice black mans burden " when the big dude made the punk eat the melted chocolate bar out of dudes ass

Death List when the hitman strangled the little girl to death with her own braids and left the playpen in front of the door so dude can be like "what the hell?" Before seeing his dead kids

The way the old dude just randomly mentioned how Whoreson finds punks to rape while in prison



Daddy cool finding out his daughter was hoing.



I felt bad for the pregnant shorty killing herself after having sex with a dog for heroin in Dopefiend. She dropped the dope after cooking it and hung herself and ol girl found her with the baby hanging dead from the umbilical cord. That visual was crazy.


Donald Goines always had 1 scene that messes with your head in each book.

That Kenyatta series did jump the shark when they hijacked the plane.


Never Die Alone as a movie was weak and so was Black Gangster.

But they did do a decent job on Iceberg Slims book turned movie Trick Baby.

If you like Donald Goines you should read Chester Himes too. Definitely recommend both...for Goines I read Swamp Man, Black Man's Grief White Man's Justice, and Daddy Cool. Trying to find more though.

My college adviser also put together this anthology of critical essays on Donald Goines's literature if you're interested in that sort of thing:
