Just came from DR. Sosua to be exact... I saw a bunch of Haitians selling stuff and living there peacefully.

This whole Hispanic heirarchy of pride shyt trips me out. Puerto Ricans think Dominicans are beneath them. Spanish people think everybody is beneath them. Peru and Argentina got some :mjpls: tendencies. And everybody feels their above Mexicans. shyt trips me out when you get around some natives and they start dissing other nations.

And I'm just sitting there as a black american like. :shaq2:

I once asked my Bolivian friend about the hierachy and she said Spain was at the top and El Salvador and Mexico were are the bottom. I then asked her about her native ancestors and she kirked and said her family was all Spanish :lolbron: Chick's mama is darker than me.

haitians are known in DR for stealing/robbing/raping, of course not ALL of them do it, but it happens all the time over there. this was nothing but street justice, dominicans do it to each other all the time. One of my homies from DR was telling me how his hood in DR had to kill this one dominican kid who was terrorizing everyone, robbing stealing murdering...dude was like 13-14, i heard even old ladies joined in the murder...thats just how it goes in poor countries

this site is CRAZY IGNORANT when it comes to dominicans, its getting ridiculous. I really hope most of ya'll are trolling but a part of me tells me ya dumb motherfukkers actually believe the stupid shyt ya say, largely because ya want to sound smart/educated/problack....its fukking stupid

dumb ass sammy sosa bleaches his skin now everyone wants to preach on how dominicans hate they african roots :snoop:

beautiful "black" women in hollywood = biracial.
achievements in education by "blacks" = biracial.

do you have to be mixed to be smart and attractive. Because that's what you're telling the world.

I'm seeing more and more examples of biracial being presented as black people. It's almost as if blacks are becoming obsolete in representation. A lot of it is our fault because we've accepted the notion of America's one drop rule. Blacks have no pride about themselves that is why we constantly claim non-blacks as blacks and ourselves as anything but black. It will take a paradigm shift to change this mode of thinking. I consider most Dominicans biracial but the average black doesn't. Even when we've been given repeated examples of Domincans denying the little African heritage they do have. We as honorable black men and women need to be confident enough to accept ourselves for who we are. The definition of black has become too vague. That is why we look at incidents like these and turn the other cheek. The obvious lesson to be learned here is that these people are not our brothers and sisters nor do they operate in our best interest.

40-85 % Sub-Saharan African descent is "little"? You do realize the definition of "black" was made by a White man? It isn't a real, objective, scientific thing.

Why do you even think there was a one drop rule? Being black isn't something that is measured scientifically. Even classifications such as negroid and Caucasoid doesn't necessarily prove anything. The people that you would claim as black that lived 3000 years ago were not even black by the standards you're using today. That's why it's ass backwards, you claim people still go by the one drop rule, which the white man created but still try to judge who is black or not by standards white people created (not even via science). Sorry when your brother does some stupid shyt he's still your brother, doesn't matter if you claim him or not.

If your people looked like Nigerians or Ghanians or Kenyans or hell even Jamaicans trust when I say black americans would not be ogling for your women. It all has to do with standards of beauty. Also black american men are in it for sex tourism. Puerto Rico, DR and Brazil are hotspots. :dead: at these dudes trying to play it off as some "getting back to my roots" trip on some faux black diaspora tip. Dudes ain't even been to selma, little rock or memphis talking about wanting to know "their history" in the most racially mixed places possible. Negroes so damn transparent.

Same shyt on Lipstick Alley. Dominicans this/that but you better believe "black dominicans" are claimed in beauty pageants. Brazilians are as well. Puerto Ricans too. Self-hatred manifests itself in many of ways breh.

AND if the majority of them are so adamant about denying this heritage than why should we get upset. I'm simply saying that we as blacks should let them embrace their own identity without gripe. Biracial people being represented as blacks has only created confusion. Due to the effect of white supremacy and the acceptance that the closer you are to "white" the better, superiority complexes are often developed and inter-conflict ensues. This is pertinent throughout the globe. Lighter Indians are favored more than darker Indians. Lighter Mexicans are favored over darker Mexicans etc. And this phenomena is ten-fold amongst blacks (and those whom we've been told to accept as black) . It is high time that we as blacks establish our own standard of blackness. Our own standard of beauty. Our own set of ideals. This is the only way blacks will begin to accept and take pride within themselves.

some of yall should really link up ... you guys would make a great team.

http://www.tshirtbordello.com/images/c00n-and-friends-l1.gif

it's amazing you don't see the complete irony of denouncing the white man's standards and picking them up and using them again... standards that ancient black people didn't use. None of it was a problem until after the transatlantic slave trade.. but now you're adamant about using it to further divide black people LOL

Your post is full of contradictions. There isn't a such thing as "Blackness." I'm not advocating or forcing anyone to accept their African ancestry nor does it affect me deeply. People can define themselves how ever they want within reason. You don't want to accept the White man definition, which is okay, but then you want to go to the opposite extreme and act like you aren't promoting something just as destructive? Like I said before, biracial is a dumb term that is ambiguous and strips people of their humanity all because of your inferiority complex. How about there be no rules on something fabricated like "race" and people let them do their thing. I haven't seen one post begging Dominicans to accept their Blackness, only post pointing out the contradiction that is Dominican self-hate, which isn't exclusive to them, but this thread is about DR/Haiti.
