I have been to Africa a dozens times, staying the weeks and months at a time. I see Chinese people in Africa securing contracts building plants and taking over resources. Cacs have already been making billions upon billions off of Africa. I have relatives that live and work in various countries throughout Africa. Many African countries are still being exploited by outsiders. Africa has more natural resources than all the other continents put together. Why is Africa still poor, it is not by accident...it is by design.

Exponential growth takes time, dude. China is just now, in 2013, starting to develop a middle class. Africa's leaders have to make the right moves in each of their respective nations to make sure that the wealth that they will see from globalization and natural resources will help develop a middle class.

If the Chinese and other nations want to invest in infrastructure, let them because that is still a net gain but they have to be leery of how much control they let outside forces in... they do need investors and those nations have stepped up at this time

i didnt say all dont get me wrong, but u know how it is bruh, with both blacks and latinos we get judged by the worst of the barrel and not the best. so imagine u a old dominican head emigrating from DR and u end up with an apartment in harlem during the crack era. your image of the black man in america will forever be of those crackheads and crack dealers. this example is a real one cause its my grandfather's experience. he owned a bodega in those days and got robbed so many times he lost count.

A group of Haitians who had been living in the southwestern Dominican town of Neiba the past several years sought refuge at a police station because they feared further reprisals, Lissaint said. Police handed the group over to soldiers who drove them to the border and expelled them to Haiti on Saturday.

Migrant advocates said some of the people sent out of the Dominican Republic were eager to leave because they feared they would be more mob violence.

Jean-Baptiste Azolin, deputy coordinator for the Support Group for Repatriates and Refugees, said not all the people who were repatriated were picked up at the police station.

“Some of them were caught in the streets, with their children, and were sent to Haiti — like that, without anything,” Azolin said.

Workers for the Haitian government’s National Office of Migration greeted the expelled Haitians and others of Haitian descent, many of them mothers with their children, including a 3-day-old boy. They were taken to a shelter north of the capital, Port-au-Prince, where they received food. They were also each given the equivalent of $22 to help them return to their former Haitian towns.

“Some people (here) have their children in the Dominican Republic, and they don’t know where they are,” Fritz Jimani, one of the deported people, said in Spanish.

The only main 3 races in the New World is black, white, and indigenous Indian. Afro Dominicans have the same mix combo as everybody else in the New World with the Indian blood being the least prevalent. The problem with Afro Dominicans is that they associate black with being "Haitian". There are African Americans lighter than some Afro Dominicans and there are some Afro Dominicans lighter than African Americans. But at the end of the day, Afro-Americans and Afro-Dominicans have the same mix combo which is predominate black and European mixture, with a minority of us having Indian blood [contrary to popular belief most AAs and DRs are black and white combos not Ameri-Indian]. My family has the black, white, indigenous admix combo specifically of the descent of African slaves, Lakota Indian, and Caucasian [possibly Irish], and has had recent mixture in the last 100 years but ask everybody in my family what we are, we say black and that is the case with all African Americans. The only difference between me and an Afro Dominicans with all 3 mixtures is that our indigenous tribe root is different I have Lakota they may have Taino blood, and they were colonized by a different set of Caucasians. Mine spoke English their's spoke Spanish. And that is literally the only difference between us AA's and Afro Dominicans. But because they associate black with Haitian so much, that they don't see things the way they are. Everybody in the New World who has been here for 300 years or more are ether black, white, Indian, or a mix of 2 groups out of the 3 or all 3.

You seem to forget that Haiti has a lot of spanish influence because before it was a French colony it was a SPANISH colony
