She could be a lot bigger if she cut back on the vulgarity, titties, and coke binges for like a year. She has a legit pop lane (look and sound) to slide into but needs to be a little more mainstream friendly. She going straight from niche weirdo music to super freak way too fast. Say So is a legit hit but within 10 seconds of the video she showing titties.

I was thinking that the pop sound of Say So suits her way better than the Juicy song

She is like Eminem in that she has created a persona separate and distinct from "her" the person, but she has done it to an even greater degree.

That creates a separation and means that she can get away with a lot more.

It's established now that "she is not being serious" and that "she is playing a role" so her missteps will be seen as part of the act and not her actually misstep-ping.

She's very smart in what she has done. She switches ethnicity in the same video. She changes up her music style from song to song. In doing so she has established that those personas are not permanently her - the real her.

And it wouldn't work if she didn't have talent underneath all of that.

Maybe Bjork and Missy Elliott did something a bit similar but not as broad in scope. And just like them it took audiences a while to understand the "act" but after they did they could get away with a lot more without losing artistic credibility. In fact once past that point of acceptance, the greater their personal artistic "excesses" the more cool they became. In the end occupying a space that their peer artists would not dare to even try to go.

So they could step out into the following stuff but still got respect and could go deep into the most serious areas of their genre.

this. in other eras that "Moo" shyt would be a death sentence.
It's so strange how that shyt had the opposite effect on her career.

She was making music for years before Moo dropped and her music was better back then but she stayed unknown. That silly ass song dropped and took her to super star status.
