Artists ain't making money like that unless they have true talent, them record companies be scheming. You saw what Megan had to go through. So #8 don't mean anything, ole girl could be forgotten in 2 years

Yes and remember no show money now, If she got a Meghan style double 360 deal she might not be caking like that. About dozen or so years ago Rihanna had 20K in the bank.

#8 definitely means something. Like I said, This girl likely has made atleast 100k off that one song even after the labels, producers and writers take their cut, and it’s only been out for 2 months. Most people won’t see that much money in their lifetime. Contrary to popular belief, most record label horror stories are the result of artists not reading the fine print and having poor spending habits on top of it. Not the result of labels doing artists dirty. They don’t make artists sign anything.

What happens in 2 years means nothing right now. Likewise, she very well could be the biggest pop star in the world in 2 years. Who knows. If you have a top 40 record, you’re going to eat relatively well off of it, but like any other art form, you have to remain consistent and make smart decisions to keep the money coming in. Having a top 10 record is a huge deal for any artist though, no matter how much y’all try to downplay it.
