I will be interested to see if this creates a more acrimonious relationship between the press and the Obama admin. While they haven't been as big a bunch of cheerleaders as they used to be the combined press has still been pretty gentle with Obama for the most part.

Nothing will ever match the press's collective cheer-leading that lead us into war in Iraq.

Or the cheer-leading they are currently doing for Hillary.

Tinfoil hat time: Obama didnt bite the (falsified & supplied by one of our 'allies') bait and rush into Syria. He's clearly running the clock out on Iran. Could the current deluge of scandal's (none of which really have Obama's fingerprints on them) have anything to do with his reluctance to fight another war in the Middle East?

I thought the Mainstream Media were already puppets of the government breh? So why would they have an issue with being monitored by their masters? Let alone write an article about it?

Do you have any more points or reasons why he's reluctant. Are you saying he's secretly for the right things... or are you saying that he's just scared of war?

I would rank the cheerleading for candidate Obama right up there with those two (actually more than the Hillary stuff to be honest).

I think his Nobel Peace Prize is a constant reminder of what the world expects of him. He's a more conservative Jimmy Carter, meaning his agenda would be purely domestic reforms and programs if we werent already at war. Obama's done a good job so far in avoiding additional international conflicts, even though he ramped up all of the other awful Bush doctrines.

John McCain and Romney would have been all-in on Syria and Iran. I'm pretty sure Hillary is all-in on Iran.

I would rank the cheerleading for candidate Obama right up there with those two (actually more than the Hillary stuff to be honest).

Son, the entire Benghazi 'scandal' was about Hillary leaving office with her record unblemished. The left-wing media circled the wagons and Susan Rice and General F. Petreus got their careers thrown in the bushes to protect her.

Bro, what the hell have are you talking about? I've always been on here arguing a pro-Social Contract argument.

I have no idea what you're criticizing.

U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder said on Tuesday that he had recused himself from the Justice Department's controversial decision to secretly seize telephone records of the Associated Press.

Instead, the decision to seek phone records of one of the world's largest news-gathering organizations was made by the deputy attorney general, Holder said. Jim Cole currently holds that position.

The seizure, denounced by critics as a gross intrusion into freedom of the press, has created an uproar in Washington and led to questions over how the Obama administration is balancing the need for national security with privacy rights.

Holder said he recused himself from the matter to avoid a potential conflict of interest because he was interviewed by the FBI in connection with the investigation into the unauthorized disclosure of classified information.

to me this should startle you a bit

So the FBI launches an investigation into the leak. Interviews Holder about the leak. Then the org he controls looks for and provides information for the FBI to conduct the investigation. But he abstains from making the decision because he's been interviewed. Even though he had knowledge of the action and probably provided an opinion on the action. How does that make sense? Thats pretty stupid. It seems like the easiest way to circumvent the AG is to just interview him for all borderline civil rights issues.

I'm simply arguing by the rules established and having a non feelings caught dialogue with you.

You outright called for an impeachment. And I asked on what grounds.

I'm simply explaining to you, that they're actually well within the law to do what they're doing. The only thing that destroys their case is the validity of the criminal investigation. And even that is probably backed up by the Patriot Act.

And as much as you and I hate that document, its a signed law thats backed by Congress and ignored by the majority of Americans. At this point, the only thing I can do is point out liberal hypocrisy, I can't actually do anything about it.

The law they are operating "within" is itself unconstitutional, but I appreciate you challenging me on what I said. I feel this behavior tramples on the press due to the scope of the documents seized.

It's not surprise to me that Holder got up there today and basically wiped his hands clean of any involvement while at the same time pushing the "we did it to keep you guys safe" Busha-era nonsense.

So you're implying you know more than John Brennan?

Yes.
