I remember when Dogecoin first got started on ***** (yeah I used to browse that shythole of a website) there used to be multiple spam threads telling people to invest in it. Idk if this was before or after the MT Gox scandal so this emerged as a Bitcoin competitor

Nah breh this was a once in a lifetime thing. Crypto is washed now because everyone knows about it now.
You will never be able to see the returns that already happened - there will be no more exponential growth that isn’t a pump and dump scheme. There are no more millionaire overnight stories.
I’m just trying to see what the next big thing is 5-10 years down the line

Crypto is volatile, and if you are going to add some to your portfolio, you need to be prepared for extreme volatility.
BTC and ETH will be what you would consider the "blue chips" if they were a stock.
I'm most heavily invested in ZEN (Horizen) which is privacy focused. Have been holding since October 2017. Have sold parts along the way, but it moved up quite a bit the past few months. You can DM me if you have any questions as I won't take this thread off topic.
But, it's been a while since my portfolio had this type of run.
Why? The amount of Dogecoins is too large to become valuable. In order for a coin to become valuable you need scarcity. But it’s cheap, so it won’t hurt to get a few thousand. You can even stake this coin and get free coins.
