Nas has the capacity to make a best of as good as wu tang. I will say tough it will be more diverse but with less classic tracks, and a wu best of could go on 5 cd 19 tracks each. Nas 3 or 4 cd 19 track each
As for jay z, he could make a wonderful GREATEST HITS but not a best of equaling Nas' or Wu's. And that's a difference. Jay made a lot of great hits in his carreer, a lot of his tracks were topping the charts, so a best of jay would rather sound like a billboard hit parade than a real hip hop classic songs compilation. Great, but not on par with the two others

I think you can create one of the deepest "best ofs" using the whole Wu discography, all their albums have at least a track or 2 that can be put on a best of. As mentioned though it's hard to compete with Nas or Jay since their discography is massive.

That shyt really don't make any sense, especially when Jay is arguably better individually than everyone in the Wu (reasonable arguments can be made that Ghost and Raekwon are as dope). As I understand "Best Of..." albums, the purpose is to pick the best of the best from whoever the artist is. It is not about picking every good song that the artist has released. So I'm not talking about Wu's entire discography vs Jay's. I'm talking top 20 Wu v. top 20 Jay. And I'm not even weighing in on who's better, just that there can be debate.
Just from glancing at my Jay-Z playlist, the following can compare to anything from any other great artist, including the best 20 from Wu:
