If you had to pick one wrestler to DEFINE their era, Stone Cold is THAT GUY. That alone makes him the greater imo.

As for the actual question posed in this thread.
Does the second run put him > Stone Cold?
Like others said, it hurts if anything.
What we've seen of Dwayne in this run is:

:flabbynsick: wrestling
:flabbynsick: promos

If anything, his Hollywood Rock heel run elevates him nearly to SCSA levels but in any case they will both always rank under the GOAT.

BOOM! :whoo:

People always just try to give all the credit to Austin like HBK & Tyson wasnt there

Credit always goes to the top guy. As important as the characters around them are it's the top guys who drive the business. They're the guys people are paying to see overcome the obstacles placed in their way by the supporting cast. As important as the supporting cast is, it's far easier to create and replace than the the leading man.

However, Rocky always putting over Haitch, Show, Dude Love/Mankind/CACtus Hack etc. and the rest who werent really on his level and still being the most over superstar on the roster regardless>>>>>>>

Austin walked out on the company because he didn't want to put over Lesnar :upsetfavre:

I think this part is what puts Rock over SCSA for me. Fluck all that other stuff, the Rock right now could lose the strap to Heath Slater and STILL be over and taken serious.

Such a tough Call. WCW definitely had the edge but once the feud between HBK and Stone Cold started, the tides turned. Mike Tyson came through for WrestleMania XIV and shyt just went back to WWFs way after a 2 year drought of really being the top Dog. Once Stone Cold had the strap, he was the biggest thing in Wrestling. Rock came up a little after that and shyt was electric, no pun. Dude always had the crowd in the palm of his hands, verbatim reciting his shtick. Stone Cold was the epitome of getting hot at the right time and he definitely deserved it due to him getting no love in WCW or ECW. But for him saying "nikker" in Longest Yard, gotta go with Maivia.

But no seriously, Stone Cold in the ring and maybe even on the mic(during his first huge run)>>>>

And I mean c'mon now though, look at their careers now.

It's not that he didn't want to put over Lesnar, it was the circumstances surrounding the match. The E wanted to give that match away on a Raw instead of building it up and selling a PPV around it. Can't really fault the guy for that :manny:

I refuse to put a wife beating cac over my black brotha, The Rock,

Stone Cold never had to deal with this PG era aside from coming back doing his Hall of Fame thing in 2009. Rock trying to make due within the limits

however, Hulk Hogan completely reinventing himself into a legendary heel and taking over a whole company and bypassing WWF is Godly.

No guy left WWE and completely saved TNA's company.

His second run doesn't put him past Austin, to be honest I don't think this second run helps or hurts his legacy. Outside of a few moments his return has been very forgettable IMO.

You guys are really overhyping how bad Rock's return has been. Compared to the OLD Rock? It's not good, but it's not that bad. Consider it's the PG era and he can't let loose like he used to.

My only real complaint about Rock's return is I wish he would do some matches on Raw/Smackdown to get back into ring shape.

Like i said, i totally get that. But him not putting over HHH at Summerslam or wanting to work with Jarrett is weak
