It changes the character for me now, yes. It'll be hard for me to separate 'Roman Reigns' from his real life story.
I would also find it difficult writing around that going forward with the character.
And the character wasn't all that developed to begin with (true for 99% of the roster).
It feels character defining. This isn't an injury that comes along with taking bumps. It's not a torn quad.

No issues with Joe Anoaʻi as a person and best of luck to him in his battle with leukemia, but I hate the way the Roman Reigns character was booked. Terrible as a babyface, but I've always said that he would make a great heel.
You cannot separate the character from the man. There's a bit of the man in that character. This dude has had to deal with shyt from people that no one ever should because they can't distinguish reality from fantasy. Even after yesterday there are still some pieces of shyt out there saying terrible things about him. I've always been a fan, even more so now.
People around here never got it..it looked like he didnt have a backbone. He knew that push was silly and wrong but he went along with it. He said outright that he didn't care how he was pushed as long as he got paid...that was his 2015 ways. Fans have long memories. He kept saying that Cena company line shyt "Any reaction is a good reaction" There was always reason to criticize him. It's sad that he has to go down this trek..but the fans werent the bad guys in the "Jeer Roman" era.

What the fukk are you talking about?? Every wrestler has to deal with shyt some more than others. He isn’t a saint he is an actor playing a wrestler. Stop with this sainthood bullshyt. People on this site hate Charlotte. Hate Finn and Dean but aren’t putting them on an alter . Every single person on earth has to deal with issues he is in the spotlight so he deals with it more than others as do all wrestlers or actors.
