Life - it’s an amazing movie all around. Drama, comedy, social commentary, period piece, heist, buddy flick all in one

all the Bad Boys - he saved Bad Boys 3 despite being :flabbynsick:

then of course boomerang and house party if we look at his supporting roles

I also really like Thin Line, but he wasn’t really being full on comedian in that

Definitely Life...but he doesn’t get much love for that because he got to be the Straight-Man.
Talkin’ Dirty After Dark absolutely should be considered classic, but that was hella underground.
If we count comedy specials, You So Crazy if definitely a classic.

So I can call it 2 and a possible for Martin as a lead.
The rest of that is just aight.

The Bad Boys films are not classics.
Nothing To Lose was okay, but it got murdered on it’s own concept when Money Talks came out.
Thin Line? No.
Black Knight? Hell naw.
Big Momma’s House was good, but not a classic.
Blue Streak was great, but that’s a movie I find a lot of people never saw when I bring it up...

...but I we are counting comedy specials, then no - he doesn’t have more classics as a lead than Chris Rock.

CB4
Bring The Pain
Bigger & Blacker
Never Scared
Down To Earth
Head Of State

...and you could argue I Think I Love My Wife and Kill The Messenger
So you gone fix ya face to say the Bad Boys films ain't classics and then try to pass those weak ass movies by Chris Rock as classics lol. You buggin.

What classic does Chris Rock have? Or Chappelle?

New Jack City is a classic but Rock was a minor character. And don’t come in here telling me Half Baked is a classic. :comeon:
I knew they all worked around the same time but i feel like their peaks were in different era's. Martin was a 90s era. Chris Rock and Chappelle early 00s. Bigger and blacker dropped in 99 and Chappelle Show was in like 03 or something. Martin had basically done all his most acclaimed work by then. Comparing Wild Hogs Era Martin to Chris Rock and Dave Chappelle is :patrice:

Not really if we’re talking actually good movies. Bad boys 2 is iconic and he has some funny performances mixed in. Eddie carried life while Martin played the foil pretty well but the answer is no.
