Does MAGA appreciate how good the economy is right now? The inauguration isn’t for another 73 days

Inflation is down...

Inflation is the rate at which prices are increasing. It dropping back to normal has nothing to do with lower prices. But you aren't the only person who thinks this way. Most people do, they think "high prices = high inflation"

I blame the government for keeping the American population ignorant to these simple concepts and it’s probably a big reason why Kamala's message didn't connect with voters.
“We are only 2% inflated from last year” means fukk all when prices went thru the roof years prior. That’s the point. “Inflation is down” doesn’t mean shyt when prices are still up

Dud you just ignore why I said that the statistics matter and how that can get bad quick?

Directly respond to my example, would stats not matter in that regard? Don't evade. Were honest people here. We don't move like that.
Stats don't always tell the real story, and the stats that were being quoted re: crime being down were wrong. People's 'vibes' as you call them, were correct. Tons of crime happened that didn't make it into the official numbers.

I explained this earlier.

There is no incentive for retailers and companies to lower prices now. Their profit margins are crazy and the people are going to just buy shyt anyway and blame the government. Why drop the cost if your only goal is to make money? Its not going to drop unless there is pressure from the government to do so or demand drops.

Yep. Messaging HAS to change. Quoting abstract macroeconomics to the average everyman is useless when their money isn't going as far as it did before. Then you insult them on top of it. :snoop:

And guess what, annualized inflation would have remained higher and lingering inflation worse if Trump were President instead of Biden because the inflation was not a product of Biden's policies; it was going to happen regardless due to the pandemic's impact on the world. But the fight against inflation WAS a result of Biden's policies, and a majority of economists have stated that the fight against would have been worse under Trump. Ya'll don't realize the whole world is jealous of how America handled inflation under Biden. :francis:

This story is only half true and we'll go into why in a second. But metrics that covered crime were generally what was happening for years. Especially when people are cherry picking petty crime into those higher crime stats.

But are you implying that vibes should over rule any sort of actual objective measuring? Are you crazy? You know that can't happen and you are being unreasonable because you want to win this argument or something. Ego man. Get rid of it.

I'm not a dem shill.....But it's ironic you said that. The reason shyt is so high is because when we had record high inflation around 8-9% prices went through the roof. There are no government mandates or controls in place to dictate how much stores and companies can charge for goods and services. So when inflation went back to normal and the economy boomed, those companies kept the prices high. And why?????

Because people like you would just blame the government and not them :russ:

Its genius and I would have done the same thing. Funny enough, Kamala had a plan in place to control this price gouging and get shyt back to normal, but nobody cared combined with the fact that she explained it terribly.

When Trump takes office I doubt he does anything to control the cost of goods. If anything it will go up.

Inflation got boosted when the government gave stimulus packages, gave people a whole bunch of money to spend which increased demands on products. There were leaders on the Democratic party who warned the packages would cause inflation. So yeah, the government did have a big hand in causing the inflation.

THE OBJECTIVE MEASURING WAS WRONG! People in the Bay Area for example have been saying for years that crime is underreported. Oakland literally only has 35 cops on the street at any given moment in a city of 400k. How can anyone trust the official numbers if we know there is no way in HELL the numbers are being reported correctly?

“Well actually yogurt being 8.49 for 32oz means the economy is good” can’t believe that doesn’t resonate with Joe Sixpack

"How good the economy is right now"? See, this is why the Democrats lost badly. They keep pushing this 'everything is fine according to our numbers' bs, but in reality, when you and I go to the store and have to spend money, we don't get as much as we used to get because everything is more expensive. It's insulting. These dudes just refuse to learn their lesson.
The problem is you believe that prices are going to drop to pre pandemic levels because the a conman said so.

Thats now how inflation works.

it was a catch 22, the pandemic was unprecedented there was no real clear good way to handle it.

The stimulus was needed to keep the economy afloat. Without that we would have had an even worse crash. The supply chain issues caused inflation not the stimulus, people have money but no products. I give Trump and Biden a pass on that one, there was no real way to avoid the economy going to shyt.

Gee. Wonder why the administration lost?
They lost because the messaging was poor.

Kamala had a plan to address the cost of goods, specifically groceries but she let Trump pull her into his bullshyt and she let that policy basically take a backseat
