I don’t know where you got that from. I personally know about 6 people who have been laid off and are looking for work, were forced to switch careers, or have taken second jobs because of how things are in the economy.

Things may be fine for you because you live with your parents and post on the internet all day everyday. But alotta working people will tell you another story.

There is no incentive for retailers and companies to lower prices now. Their profit margins are crazy and the people are going to just buy shyt anyway and blame the government. Why drop the cost if your only goal is to make money? Its not going to drop unless there is pressure from the government to do so or demand drops.

They keep pushing this 'everything is fine according to our numbers' bs, but in reality, when you and I go to the store and have to spend money, we don't get as much as we used to get because everything is more expensive. COVID fukked up economies around the world, but for the majority of Biden’s term, the US had the lowest inflation rate and the highest GDP of all G7 countries……

It’s the equivalent of a neighborhood getting hit by a hurricane, the US house had some broken windows and the deck chairs blew away. It looks bad, meanwhile other houses in the neighborhood got crushed, tree fell through the roof, cars fukked and the foundation of the house got affected.

I know the average voter doesn’t know this or think of it this way, and I’m not expecting them to. I just wanted to point that out.

If you're complaining about the prices but still choosing to buy the goods you're literally telling the company you're okay with the current price. They way to combat price gouging is to stop purchasing the good. Like I said and will keep saying they're isn't an inflation problem. People have a consumption problem. That is true but minimum wage has not increased to the point of people being able to afford basic necessities.

Basic necessities have more than doubled in price while minimum wages have stayed exactly the same for years.
