Well? Is it possible for something to have an infinite quantity?

Yes, the quantity of counting numbers is infinite. We know that for sure.

For example, you can count between 0 and 1 and never reach zero:
1/1, 1/2, 1/3, 1/4, 1/5................................................1/n

does true Randomness exist? :mindblown:

No.

lets talk about various infinities:

if there's an infinite amount of numbers, and an infinite amount of odd numbers, is the amount of numbers equal to the amount of odd numbers?

screw the concept of infinity how about the actual world around us, where does it end, does it? DOes space just keep going and going? Is it infinite? Anyone can just keep counting but can you truly fly straight up and just go on forever?

maybe it's loops back onto itself. I think the shape people like to throw out there is a 4d torus

yeah fuk the math that explains that but even then if you could escape that what would exist outside of it?

'nothing'? other universes? obviously no one knows the answer to that. it's one of those places where our understanding breaks down and all we have is the math

yeah and even that get's sketch way out there.

Crazy though when you think about it because you know SOMETHING, even if it loops back, is out there.

idk, "something" seems like a loaded term

we tend to think of everything as existing in 3d space. but I think that may be a flawed way to try to understand the universe

nah, i'm not bringing the R word in here don't worry:smile:
Strictly conceptualization and theory.

I think our perception of things is so minute that we miss out on so much. I mean just think about the things we CAN't see (different spectrum, sounds, etc)

Infinity exists because there is no beginning or ending to all things. Even nothing, is something.

No.

But you'll never reach infinity. You can't write an infinite number, you can't think of an infinite number. As soon as you reach an extremely high number, there is always something after that. Or in your case an extremely low one.

And how does true randomness not exist?
