I highly doubt any Black person cares about Ukraine from a sentimental/emotional grievances perspective and I wish people would stop fabricating that angle to push pro-Russia sentiments...Black folks (just like anybody) who are knowledgeable and invested in geopolitics very likely care more about the consequences of Russia further enabling themselves if a victory were to happen which is very unlikely.
They've been at war for over a year nearly two years. If Russia was destined for victory it would've happened by now, all this is just stalling by Putin/Russia to avoid admitting defeat and the perception it'll have on their country/leader.
With that said, no I don't care about Ukraine from an emotional standpoint but it doesn't hurt to stay knowledgeable about the situation rather than being obtuse and ignorantly oblivious. Just because we're Black doesn't mean we can't or shouldn't bother being knowledgeable about things happening around us, white people aren't the only ones allowed to have political awareness, thoughts, and interests regarding certain topics.
