For me, if everything hasn't been blown off with Bryan getting all of the revenge he needs and being the champion by the next TLC pay-per-view, it'll have gone on too long. It should probably be completely blown off at Survivor Series, for my taste.

You right, I wasn't thinking how long of a layoff that is. Summerslam to WM is what 7-8 months? Blowoff has to be quicker

They could always take Bryan off TV for a while via Orton doing some super heel shyt to injure him after cashing in on a tired Bryan after he beat Cena. Of course the down side is that Bryan will be off TV, but if you really want to make sure he wins Rumble for the proper payoff at Mania, this would be a way to preserve interests and longevity of the angle.

Would further re-establish Orton as a top heel too.

That would only work if it's close to the Rumble. Bryan can take a super punt of doom at Survivor Series and be out all throughout December (the most meaningless month of the year in WWE) and be back in January to wreck shyt. But anything longer than that is too much imo.

So then the problem is what to do with him until Survivor Series and I don't see were he fits besides the title picture and there you risk some backslash because he never wins the damn belt (Jeff Hardy syndrome)
