Does anyone else feel like the money is in Bryan as a chaser rather than a champion?

As long as he's hugable and lovable, he's a chaser. The moment they give him a mean streak he'll be money. His finisher must break people off like Cena's STF.

When Cena taps, when Punk taps, and/or when the Big Show taps, then mo'fuxa will look at him different.

If this happened, he'd be set for life....

The stoop with dat dope fanny padding
I completely agree.

Bryan winning the title and then having it immediately stolen from him by Orton with MITB would be great drama.

If it ends with Bryan winning the rumble and getting the title at WrestleMania tho, it'll be worth it.

bruh, Orton cashing in on Cena would draw one of the loudest pops ever, especially if Cena had just went over Bryan. That shyt would NOT turn Orton heel.

but Orton cashing in on a Bryan who had just won would turn Orton into a MONSTER heel instantly, and Bryan would probably be the most over face on the roster just off general principal. I mean, you saw what happened when he lost in 18 seconds. The fans got behind him because they felt it was a wrong doing. If Orton cashes in on him and ruins his moment, he'll gain so much fukkin sympathy. The crowd would probably wild out for him the next night like 2 Pac resurrected or something.
I see your point, i just got this thing about wrestler's having all these meaningless title reigns fukking up the history of the title but i guess we in the "fukkery era" where anything goes and title history means nothing

Am I the only one who wants DBry and Cena to have a classic back and forth match @ Summerslam resulting in Cena winning then Randy cashes in and turns heel as the new WWE Champion.

Then for months have Dbry get that "Road to Wrestlemania" push by winning the Rumble and beating Randy Orton for the WWE Title @ Wrestlemania 30

Keep Bryan as the underdog by having him get screwed by Orton in the Cena Summerslam match (double RKO, rolls Cena on top of Bryan for the W). Orton than cashes in on Cena. Cena wins the belt back at Survivor Series/Rumble. Bryan can play up the underdog angle of him getting screwed by Orton and never getting his chance to beat Cena. Orton vs. Cena at the Rumble. Bryan wins the Rumble. Sets up Cena vs Bryan at WM where he finally wins the belt. Orton should be Bryan's first challenger after Cena. Have Bryan go over Orton. :yeshrug:

I can't even recall Cena teasing tapping out. He will reverse it into a FU...when Bryan kicks out, thats wh3n we hit the next level of uncertainty. It would be great if Cena just puts someone over for once and taps fukking out.

I can see that but also I think he could keep still be somewhat of an underdog during his run if booked right. I could also see him having a longer run as a aggressive heel.

If you do that, where's the sympathy coming from? Where's the revenge coming from? You might as well do the Bryan wins, Orton cashes in and turns, Bryan chases Orton to WrestleMania to win his belt back storyline of you want to do all of that. If you go with your plan, it kills all of the heat by pointlessly transferring it onto Cena, who's pretty much only an object, a means to an end, in an Orton/Bryan storyline. There's no point to complicating everything like that.

With that said, I still don't see how a chase to WrestleMania can work in terms of maintaining Bryan's momentum, especially when you'll have a ready made feud for him RIGHT THERE. If you make him chase for too long, the question isn't "Why isn't Bryan getting his proper due?" That's been the question surrounding Bryan's character so far, culminating in this title match. If you have Orton cash in right after Bryan wins it, that will remain the question for some time. If you drag it out for too long though, the question becomes "Is this guy EVER going to win it? Why hasn't he gotten revenge yet?" That's a very different kind of question, which connotes growing dissatisfaction and boredom with the storyline surrounding the character, and maybe even the character himself. I fear that if you wait until the Royal Rumble to start pulling the trigger on everything, the audience will stop asking the first question and start asking the second question. It's just too long of a wait.

For me, if everything hasn't been blown off with Bryan getting all of the revenge he needs and being the champion by the next TLC pay-per-view, it'll have gone on too long. It should probably be completely blown off at Survivor Series, for my taste.

Rock didnt get the belt for a year..a few complete screw jobs protects Bryan no matter what. He's gonna look good at Survivor Series and he'll be the crowd fav to win.

Bryan is good as a chaser but he would be good as a champion too. As long as they have him as a fighting champ who takes on all comers. You would have feuds with Punk Lesnar Alberto Dolph etc. that could give us some great matches. It's time for them to stop bullshytting and give him the real world title with an extended run.

Yeah. The 2 main problems are that there's way too much time between Summerslam and the Road to Wrestlemania and that's there a not maineventers for D-Bry to feud with.

The only way I could see the "Bryan chasing the title till WM XXX" storyline working, and keeping DB's huge momentum, was having a 3 month program with Punk after Summerslam and then having an Austin-like loss at Suvivor Series against Brock (or a red hot heel Mark Henry). Then he goes away for a month until coming back before the Rumble "better than ever" and winning the whole thing.

Now non of that can happen anymore because Punk is a face, Henry will be a face and I don't think Brock works Survivor Series.

With those 3 guys out (and Cena/Orton feuding with each other) there's no one credible enough for Bryan to wrestle with. The Shield is not an option, it's too soon for the Wyatt family to lose a program and all the other heels either suck or have no heat (or both).

If D-Bry doesn't leave Summerslam with the belt he still has to be in the title picture for a couple of months because there's nothing out there for him to do without losing momentum.

I know WM 30 seems like the perfect ending to his story but it's way too risky.
