Yup. Hate making big purchases. It feels wasteful and I feel like I'm getting taken advantage of...

Cuz you're spending a lot of money on something that you would be fine without...How does traveling feel wasteful?
I’m so confused by this thread
Cuz you're spending a lot of money on something that you would be fine without...
Is it really confusing or do you just feel like arguing?
Well I'm not on vacation now. And I haven't travelled in couple years. And I feel fine...
why would you be fine without vacation? A lot of people work towards vacation and it’s viewed as a reward , experience and relaxation
what would you be doing instead of going if vacation
Meh u simply haven’t saved enough if you’re feeling this way. U know U good if u can imagine not working for years and not having to worry about finances.More so me than anything. I live in perpetual fear that I will lose everything one day and not have enough stashed away to get by on. Even though my savings and investments are quite substantial, it just never feels enough.
There is always "more" I could save or something "better" I could invest in.

You're asking the wrong question. You gotta tell me why you're not fine if you don't go on vacation.
We might have different attitudes towards money and what we consider valuable
The point of money is to spend. If I spend my money on vacation and the rest of my affairs are in order why would I feel guilty?
I'm considering buying a new car after getting a promotion and paying off my old one which works just fine but as I'm nearing my 30's I feel like I should get something "bigger" but the guilt is eating me up whenever I look for something online
Everytime I Look at the installments, I tell myself that I would be better off investing that money in a small apartment or something. It just feels so irresponsible.
Anybody else get this feeling? "Big" can be relative too by the way. Doesn't have to be a car can be something like a pair of shoes, PlayStation or whatever.
