Stunning documentary on the 1984 UK Miners Strike where international capital used Margaret Thatcher's Tory government to mount a vicious campaign of violence and hatred on the British working class. The film features the miners and their families experiences told through songs, poems and other art.

Lately I've been watching documentaries on weird subjects. Anyone have some they've watched?

this is about grown women who are into "Reborns." Dolls that are made to look like babies. They actually play with them and treat them like real babies. Some of them get like five of them or more.

I will post more later as I watch them.

The Trials of Henry Kissinger, which was co-written by Christopher Hitchens and the American writer/director, Alex Gibney. Hitchens makes an appearance in the film, being interviewed about Kissinger. The documentary also features film of Kissinger but only in archive footage.

In the words of Hitchens, Kissinger deserves prosecution "for war crimes, for crimes against humanity, and for offenses against common or customary or international law, including conspiracy to commit murder, kidnap, and torture." He further calls him "a stupendous liar with a remarkable memory."
