you don't need to cut them, just don't make them a whole movie.
You can get away without an Origin story if it's a very popular superhero that eveyone knows the Origin. But not for no damn Dr. Strange.
I finally watched the "Doctor Strange: The Sorcerer Supreme" direct to Blu-ray/DVD animated movie from 2007 last night. So I just learned his Origin. That whole movie was an origins movie.Batman Begins ripped off his origin.

heard many rumors:Any word on whos playing Strange?

Didn't even know there was an animated movie. Was it any good?I do think origin flicks are played now. Not sure how it will translate without a big name attached.
I took the animated movie as my introduction to him. Doctor Strange (2007) http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0910865/
agreed, origin stories theoretically should help you connect w/the main character on a deeper levelI guess I'm the only one who doesn't mind origin stories as long their not REHASHED (I.E. Amazing Spiderman) I think seeing Doctor Stranger's origin would be a dope way to introduce the more "mystical" aspects of the Marvel cinematic universe.
