Kawhi finally forced Presti to save the Thunder from the Russ treadmill. He’ll always be a legend in my book for that alone :blessed:

The franchise finally climbed out of the hole from the Harden trade, and is finally building back up from ground zero

That's why I'm not mad at all the sh*t that's going on with PG and the team right now. Kawhi didn't want to roll the dice with SGA and demanded the front office to go get Durant, Jimmy Butler, or PG who was the third choice, and so here we are. It is what it is.

He would have rather gone that first season without KD who had ruptured his Achilles than play with SGA

People forget the Clippers were building the team up from the ground because they had so much space. On paper that squad was deep the team that took the Warriors to six games without a star plus Kawhi who was top three in the world and Paul George.

But if Kawhi had went to the Lakers they winning two chips off of their defense alone.

Doc with a Charles Barkley level take. There's no way he told anyone anything. Kawhi was in win now mode given his injury concerns he wasn't going to the clippers without another star player coming there. Shai was good and had shown glimpses but no one could have told you he would be a top 3 mvp candidate.

In retrospect Kawhi absolutely made the wrong decision. That Raptors team would have easily made the finals and even won another championship had he stayed. It would have all been on his back and cemented him as one of the GOATs. Even looking at the decision from an injury risk perspective it made no sense as the Raptors could have offered him one extra year compared to any other team.

So you mean to tell me one could know SGA was going to be a top 5 player, known Brunson was a top 10 player in the making but missed out on the Crypto boom?

Nobody wants to take chances but knew how it was going to go the wholeeee time :mjlol:

Keep in mind that 19 squad accomplished all of that without OG.

21 Clippers had a chance but that Raptors squad had everything teams seek out to this day to win.

"That Paul George trade will still be there in a year, no one is competing with you to do that trade"

Doc is HoF when it comes to blaming someone else for their teams shortcomings. He and George Karl just need to go ahead and do a podcast called "We didn't mess up, so what's the real reason the team lost?".

Kawhii one of those players you won’t hear from after they retire just like Chris Bosh and maybe Durant
