Doc isn't wrong. Rondo's not the guy drawing up the offensive philosophy. If the goal was to get Ray more shots, he would've gotten more shots. By design, he did not.

Ray is still capable of being a solid player, but this isn't 2006 Ray Allen anymore. Can't treat him like he's the same player and give him 17+ shots a night.

Ray left after a short season, Rondo was mouthing off like Allen 3pt game and ankle problems wasn't enough to make the Celtics elite contenders. If the Celts trade for Rip Hamilton they will have the same gameplan anyway.

What are you getting revenge on, though? The Heat beat the Celtics, and essentially Ray Allen being a member of the Celtics. The science just isn't that tight.

I don't think a lot of players hold the same sentimental mentality as the fans do. That's why Nash joined the Lakers and Lebron joined the Heat. It's all about business, feeling wanted, and comfortable in a system.

You see all these guys acting real friendly with each other during all star weekend don't you? It's not that serious for them.
