Borderlands 2 is filled with a number of interesting Easter eggs. Perhaps the most useless of these is the Extra Wubs mode that can be unlocked by the Konami Code.
The Konami Code is a cheat featured in a vast number of games published by Konami. The most popular usage was in Contra, where the code gave you 30 lives. The code is as follows: Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, B, A, Start. You have to enter it at the title screen of Borderlands 2 to use it. If you're playing on the PS3 or PC, press the crouch button and then jump button instead of B and A.
If you entered the cheat correctly, Extra Wubs mode will now be unlocked. You can find it in the gameplay section of the options menu. Here's the catch, though: Extra Wubs does nothing. Here's Gearbox's message to you when you try to toggle it (via MP1st):

Just a FYI, in case you didn't know: in sanctuary there's a vault hunter named Michael M that always gives you a blue or purple gun. Just get a gun, then save and quit and repeat. You can farm thus dude for some amazing shyt.

He becomes very rare after
Sanctuary goes into the sky. I've only seen him 3 times in 30+ trips to Sanctuary since that event. Before that event he is there almost 100% of the time. He is always very rare on PC, though.

Reminds me of that shield you can get from that side mission that has a chance to adsorb bullets, adds them to your inventory, and talks when you get hit or take burn, corrosive, etc. damage

You get that from a quest in New Haven. If you're onto your second playthrough, you should wait until you beat the Warrior to do that side quest, cuz once you beat him in your second playthrough, all the side quests resets to lvl 50 including the unique guns.
Got Dukino's Mom to drop the Mongol, a legendary rocket launcher. I'm solo farming the warrior right now with it.
