Can't really complain.

WFH.
Little to no supervision.
Don't manage.:noah:
Leading a project that is becoming successful.
Company perks.
Can see the career trajectory.

It's cool but it's not my passion but I always step back and think, "someone would love this opportunity." Keeps things in perspective. :wow:

Yes. Only way it could be better is if I get an opportunity to work in Europe/Asia or the caribbean.

The money is good but it will get better as I gain more experience. It's military contracting so America is all about war and with Republicans in office I definitely getting a pay bump.

what I like is the independence, autonomy

I like that its a straight up sort of thing, it's not shuffling emails or some benign corporate bullshyt. Stakes are high compared to an office worker. I think about that scene in The Shield, the final scene, where Mackey is in the office, and he just holsters his pistol and walks out into the streets. Like he can't take the office.

what I realize this long in is how strong the dopamine hits from working are, like how high I get from the rush, and how that is potentially concerning

Hate it. The only good thing is that I get to work from home. I’m trying to get into a trade union though.
