I thought about this before and looked to see if there was a feature for people to be able to ignore threads with a certain prefix, and one of the staff members on the xenforo forum made the obvious remark that if you need something like that why don't you just make another subforum. Adding prefixes and all that seems like a lot of work for the mods and an over complicated solution.
That's the problem, I don't want to make forums that have the reputation of being the bushes. If it's not embraced and actually used by the members then it doesn't make sense. That's why we removed free speech and the race track. I want good forums, we don't need a dumpster type for every main forum.
We made the first version of the race track to move troll threads to. When we tried the second version of the race track where we tried to move any and all race topics it was because trl was atleast 50% race topics at any given time. when you have a general off topic type forum thats being dominated by one subject then usually from an admin standpoint you know there's enough interest to make that one topic it's own standalone forum. Unfortunately the race track already had a bad connotation as being a dumpster so everyone revolted at the idea of their thread being moved there.
I don't think we'll ever make another "race track" if we do anything it would be a wider scope than just race topics...some type of social awareness forum or something like that. Include race and gender threads and other hot topics that get debated frequently.
ideally it would be a serious forum because there's a lot of serious topics that I feel like we allow to take place that you won't find elsewhere on the Internet and that's fine, I'd like to embrace that but it just doesn't make sense to me for those to be in tlr when this forum has always been a lighter, less serious place.

2014 is the worst class for sure
Racial topics have always been around but they've gotten toxic this past year.this bedwench stuff was never this bad in 13.I don't even think that was a term we were using at all until sometime in 14 (correct me if I'm wrong)

I liked la fisher but he was defenitely the one who started the trend of finding something divisive and making a thread on it for views and daps. And maybe that's fine if it's just one person doing it but of course everyone has to follow suit and make it unbearable (@cook @Brooklynzson was that the reason you guys tried to make a push for the race track to be used more?)
what happened to the days of @Anothergirl where she was the only real female poster who was a problem. She was bad but at least it seemed like she actually had a life and left thecoli when it was obvious she wasn't wanted. Posters lack depth around these parts, which wouldn't be so bad ifthey would stick to fukkery and not spending inordinate amounts of time arguing over race relations, who is and isn't considered black, etc ad nauseam.
