Episode 1 and 2 are pretty bad. Episode 3 was fire. No we don’t owe him an apology and if you look at his original ideas for this new trilogy you all would’ve hated it

never really hated on george or the PT or to a lesser extent the SE of the OT.
Was actually surprised when I started going to forums/newsgroups and shyt that he was as hated as he was for the PT and special editions.

It's funny, because I remember between 06 and 08 the hate for Lucas starting to die down...then RLM released that Phantom Menace review and the fire was reignited and didn't really start dying down until a a year or two ago. I also find it ironic that RLM suggested that J.J. Abrams should direct a Star Wars movie before the Disney buyout...and here we are.

I'm not a fan of the new trilogy at all but the worst thing that has come from it is people acting like the prequels were good in retrospect

Not really. His prequels were mediocre at best--borderline trash. Jar Jar Binks, and not to mention that his first wife saved the original Star Wars(a new hope) by re-editing/re-cutting the film which made it what it is today.
He focused the over all story of the first two on the wrong things. No one cares about toddler Anakin.
But I do appreciate the world building, politics and science he tried to introduce. Much more ambitious than the ST. But I'm not a big OT fan like that so

I didn't hate them when I first saw them. So I cannot agree.

Granted the Disney trilogy aren't any better minus Force Awakens to a certain degree and Last Jedi was garbage.
The 2 trilogys are different types of disappointment respectively.

Nah, George was in over his head as director for the prequels.
Growing up, everyone around me loved the prequels. Didn't see hate for them until I started going online.
