He's not as creative, fresh and original as he once was.
His ability to make nice songs (even though his last mixtape and album were his worst thus far) and his technical skills are still there. His technical skills might even be better than they ever were. Problem is that dudes don't wanna hear the same old T.I., the wanna hear a new T.I.

From a technical standpoint he is a far better MC than his Im serious/Trap Muzik days.. He just cleaned up his sound too much to me and started using the same producers everybody else uses.. Thats usually how everybody falls off to me..

T.I. is at the top of his game skill wise and his new single is one of his best songs in recent memory. He just needs to cultivate his grown man image to match his reality show persona and he'll be fine.

Thats a problem to me. In sports, if you can still perform at high levels and you're on equal footing if not better than all the young dudes coming into the game no one pushes you out the door. You keep going until you have either came and accomplished everything you wanted to or you can't keep up. Most high level athletes don't leave the sport until they literally can't hang anymore. It's not like someone came and ethered him. No one is really better than him. You could argue that T.I. is actually getting better so why does he need to fall back?

i dont think tip fell off skill wise, i think he fell off content wise tho. The old tip used to be good at givin you introspective songs like Live In The Sky and storytelling songs like Still Aint Forgave Myself. Now it seem like he just rappin to be rappin the same ol cliche stuff. T.I. used to come on the track with that cool laid back flow, now he come on the track like he tryin to do too much. He need more original production too, he still rappin on the same style of beats he rapped on yrs ago, its nothing fresh sounding. His rappin skills there, i just think he need better background music to rap over to inspire him to spit fresh raps.

I think its hard for cats to let that go, He could still be winning with his TV show, his label, clothing line and I think he should get back to ghostwriting as well..

Lets be real most of TI's fans dont listen to him for "technical" ability. Not to say he can't rap because he can, but TI also was a very good SONG MAKER. That's where he's fallen off. TI used to be able to crank out singles like it was nothing, now it seems like he's trying too hard. Go Getta is a step in the right direction tho
