It's pretty safe to say in the United States sports league field everyone gravitates to one title. It's why there's 1 basketball game, 1 football game, 1 baseball game and 1 hockey game. Multiple companies have made games in that space for different leagues at the same time and it mostly ended up bot being worth them continuing to purchase the license to be number 2.

Considering how massive the game is, whoever somehow manages to secure an exclusive even it’s for just a short period of time will possibly sell
Millions of extra consoles alone and will be worth it.

Wouldn’t surprise me if Microsoft did that. They’ve certainly got the money to pull it off. They might not be able to buy Take Two but they can certainly give them 100s of millions to make up the PS5 lost sales.

GTA 4 was, well the dlc. And let's be reality here, the PS5 is tied to the PS4. If they want futuristic gaming that only the cloud can provide? It's a no brainer

There's no chance in hell that Take Two would even go for that. If there were no online component, then I can see a timed exclusive. With GTA Online being the money printer it is though, they're not going to be exclusive to anyone.

Makes 0 sense from Take Two’s perspective.

That’s why third party exclusives have almost died off entirely. It just doesn’t make sense anymore.

In the 8 and 16 bit days it made sense. There was a clear difference between the SNES and Genesis. Even internationally, Japan had consoles never released in the West each with their own graphical differences. But today where we're arguing over details that only the most hardcore of gamers will give a crap about, it doesn't matter.

I just hope the game is actually good. The Housers always wanted to make the story mode a Hollywood movie (or at least based on a Hollywood movie). Which kind of fell flat on GTAV.

I hope the next game goes back to the rags-to-riches story, or just something different.

They definitely need to add dedicated servers for their next iteration of GTA Online.
