People calling ows a failure haven't been paying close attention to the shifting tide in our nation's economic discourse. Elizabeth Warren won because of OWS. Larry Summers' fleeting nomination for Fed chairman was thwarted because of the same spirit behind OWS. There is a growing tide of populism in our country on behalf of the poor and middle class, a sentiment that would not be at the level it presently is without the awareness resulting from the OWS protests.

What we saw was just the beginning and it is far too soon to call it a failure.

This is exactly how I looked at it, I think most people felt there is a problem, but people feel there is no solution. This makes them feel powerless.

Too them OWS Its not about the status quo or being pro establishment, it had no teeth because many people felt their way of life has not been threatened as of yet. If the poor feels the rich deserves every penny they get, its a huge task to educate these fools.

do you want access to auto and mortgage loans????

then wall street is necessary and provides a ton of liquidity to those markets.

How long has these markets been around? Easily before America was founded. OWS was about what has happened the last 30 years. This is why people are divided because they feel corporations are all serving and should not be be condemned. :smh: The past 10 years alone has been all too revealing.

Failure. But it had a lot of help in failing. Looking back at how the media covered it is disgusting. We also know for a fact that the government agencies were very eager to help its demise

The revolution will not be televised. If you expect the media to promote a real revolution you must be joking. The fact of the matter is it was left by pussiffied liberals, so once the going got tough, the liberals got gone.

I was gonna call it a failure but who knows? Who knows who the OWS influenced internally to do something in the future? Around that time I wasnt thinking bout much but I do remember reading up on things that the OWS was complaining about. So it definitely helped me in someway even if minimal. If thats the case we judge it by, I would say its more of a success or failure. But if we judge it by if they were successful in their task of bringing down the FED then it was a failure

i dont think it is near its end, so i cant say success or failure. populism in general keeps rising, slowly but steadily, and the right's only counter is to bring up the flaws of obamacare. this thing could keep building steam until 2016 where the movement may take more of a defined form in two parties having to create some specific answers to income inequality that dont merely end with raising the minimum wage or lowering taxes on "job creators". we'll see...
