It’s an interesting discussion simply for the old argument as to whether Microsoft is trying to push console sales or if they are trying to push Gamepass subscriptions. Their moves here will indicate the direction they are heading in

Exclusive, Gamepass is the platform. Xbox, pc, Android and xcloud are simply modes of delivery.

Exclusive. Gamepass has 18 million subscribers and counting, they’re going to continue to feed the beast. Their biggest knock against them is the lack of exclusives hence the $7.5 billion acquisition. They didn’t do that to maintain the status quo. They’ve always had a good relationship with Bethesda so why buy them out just to release timed exclusives?

I’ve owned 2 xboxes before, why wouldn’t a buy another? When microsoft gives me a reason to purchase a console i get one, just like i did with the 360
