animal lovers/owners will say yes.

as a dog owner who has very well trained [2] dogs this is an easy yes. my dogs are my homies. and are never on leashes even when walking them downtown. they listen.

this thread reminds me one time i was walking this past this church and these 2 black females going to the church shook. (white folks dont get scared cause white folks love dogs and go pet them. it's niccas who run and sh1t and the dogs chase them thinking they want to play but niccas get scared even more and act out)
anyway those bytches got shook and told me to leash my dogs cause they're animals. i said but we're all animals and they said no they weren't not animals, they're human.
at that point i just kept going cause i realized we weren't gonna go anywhere.

my dogs like running to the stop sign/light and wait there til i come then we cross and they run all the way to the next stop light. repeat. unless i tell them no running so we walk...

Meh, it's all semantics. Like animals, we are dependent on our natural environment for survival. Biologically, we classify as animals. But as human beings we are clearly several degrees above all other animals in intelligence.

For example, how many dolphins are sittin at home on the intanets right now discussing whether dolphins are animals or not?

This intelligence ultimately allows us to rule this planet. We're not the biggest, strongest, fastest of most agile. Our friend @Napoleon said whales have a better physical design. Well we make perfume outta whales, nikka. We wear lions' manes on our shoulders. So I would argue our design is much better because our brain is a thousand times more efficient.

So you can pretend to be a beast if you want to. But man, although biologically is an animal, has a higher purpose as the stewards of the Earth.

On a sports team you have all the players and you have the superstars. We expect more from the superstars. We judge them differently. We hold them to a higher standard.

But technically, on the surface, they're just players but we know there's more to it than that. They're not just players, they're more than that. We're not just animals, we're more than that.

Get up off all fours and stand straight like a man, fakkits.

Animals are divided into various sub-groups, including birds, mammals, amphibians, reptiles, fish and insects. Science falters when it draws conclusions that the ability to observe our own consciousness observing the world, is a trait shared with animals. If anything, science should classify humans as a sort of super animal, or simply human, that can and has the ability to exceed the biological impetus of our body and mind.

Is your ability to classify, label, imagine, entertain or create exceed what it means to be an animal or are they simply refined animal behaviours?

Yes. We might be in a class of our own, but we play in the same league.

It doesn't matter what you think...Scientifically speaking, humans are animals...

Just because we can classify, label, imagine, entertain or create doesn't mean we are beyond being animals...

Those behaviours are just the human way of surviving everyday just to get laid...However, we have the ability to change our environment, and as we change our environment, our environment also changes our behaviours...

But that happens with all living organisms...Even bacteria...

A lot of the stuff we humans do, I believe is because of all the excess functions that our larger brains have...

We are not better than non-human animals simply for the fact that the majority of humans on this planet live under sub-standard conditions, despite the amount resources we have...

You will be hard pressed to find a wolf pack with starving members, when there is a lot of deer to be hunted and killed...

So, I personally wouldn't even call human behaviour as "refined animal behaviours" because "refined" implies that we should be making things "better," and yet, we humans are so wasteful...

We are NOT efficient...

i mean honestly what animal has the potential to refine any of their abilities to become similar to humans

:why: so are u sayin u a plant?

its either plant, animal, or fungii my nikka......there isn't any other categories

we need to eat food to survive like every other animal.....we take shyts and piss everyday like every other animal.....we sleep for 6-8 hrs every night like every other animal........we fukk each other to reproduce like every other animal

in the grand scheme of things, we probably spend most of our lives doing the same exact shyt as a dog......the only reason we think we are any different is because we've deluded ourselves into thinking so........don't mistake the accomplishments of a few onto the rest of humanity.......we have had a few in our species who have been able to ovecome their animal instincts to accomplish great things in science and technology to move the species forward......but the VAST MAJORITY of humans are no different than any other animals.......we just have opposable thumbs that allow us to grasp things more easily.......thats it
