Roman civilization which is the cradle to whites was Italian.

Italians held high ranking political positions in America in the mid-1800’s.

This myth that they became white is bullshyt.

American white basically meant Anglo-Saxon Protestant...even Catholics got the side eye. They slowly added Germans, Scandinavians etc., to the "white" definition.

Most American whites in the South are English/Welsh/Scottish. Outside the South, a lot more variance. Apparently, most white Americans claim German ancestry but it's probably just English blood.

U forgot French too. Many cacs from Texas, Louisiana and Florida are French descended.

Outside the South, Whiteness as a unifying concept for cacs really didnt take off until the turn of the century. All the immigrants coming over competing for resources in the Port Cities and the East Coast created strife among the Euro Cac immigrants.

Once the euro cacs werent coming over in huge waves, the dust settled, assimilation and anglicizing happened and the East Coast/Midwest Euros realized SOMEBODY had to be on the bottom of the totem pole and it most certainly wasnt gonna be them
