Race is a social construct. Western society has always considered people with any visible African ancestry like Drake and his son Black. They are Black.

his son, no, you can't be BLACK at only 1/4 black IMO. you can be mixed, multiracial, multiethnic, whatever, but I wouldn't use black as a sole descriptor.

drake, i'd be fine with him calling himself black. growing up, half & half mixed kids were black you'd acknowledge they were mixed, but for the most part, most the mixed kids i knew just leaned into being black.

no science or consistency behind my rationale, it's just based on how i've interacted with mixed folks of varying degrees.

Yea, when it comes to race I usually give more stock to hair texture as opposed to skin color.

Drake looks like he's got not 4c but like 4B or 4A, pretty much black people hair.

His son has straight hair and blue eyes.

I am mixed but my hair is in the 3s.

I wonder if it's because his dad is black and mine is white?

My nephew was biracial and his dad is black and he has hair in the 4s.

I got locs though. And they don't look like cac locs either.
