So I'm browsing ESPN's boxing page and check out their P4P rankings.

Nothing surprising at the top: Floyd Mayweather.

But the rest of the list seems up for debate.

1. Floyd Mayweather
2. Roman Gonzalez
3. Gennady Golovkin
4. Manny Pacquiao
5. Guillermo Rigondeaux
6. Andre Ward
7. Timothy Bradley Jr
8. Sergey Kovalev
9. Wladimir Klitschko
10. Miguel Cotto

I know Chocolatito and GGG are good, but have they really beaten the kind of quality competition to deserve to be #2 and #3?

I don't agree with GGG either (at least not that high, they're hyping him though), don't necessarily agree with Ward (inactivity although he probably hasn't lost a step) and Cotto (paper tiger) either.

My thoughts

I'm not a wlad stan in anyway but that dude has not lost in 11 years and got 3 of the 4 heavyweight titles...hell he even went after and took the bullshyt WBA regular heavyweight title povetkin had just to make sure he couldn't call himself champion...plus he's active..he's number 2 until floyd retires/loses or he loses again

Yeah, Floyd and Wlad one and two are the only sure fire things to me, and Kovalev gotta be ahead of GGG, and Canelo absolutely belongs in the Top 10.

Canelo missing from the list in general is more upsetting than the order of any of the sure-fire names

Yeah you would think Canelo would get more love after the way he knocked Kirkland's soul to Bolivia.

:damn:

1. Who else?
2. Andre Ward. Well, he's active again and still dominating like he never left. And...he'll continue to do so until he eventually moves up.
3. Wlad. Dr. is about take out Fury and Glazkov (hopefully, I hate this fraud).
4. Stevenson. Superman gets hated on but honestly, he's still an incredibly skilled fighter when he wants to be
5. Kovalev. KKKiller in the ring and it wouldn't shock me if he dispatched Beterbiev rather easily
6. Terrence Crawford. People getting on Haymon's case about dropping the ball.......Arum ain't shyt either, Exhibit B.
7. Roman Gonzalez. Fat Dan tryna earn brownie points, but Roman should've BEEN listed.
8. Miguel Cotto. Freddie done brought the demon outta this guy again, good thing too because...
9. Canelo. ...he's going to need it against this Mexi-demon.
10. Rigo... he lost some major points by the way he looked in his last bout but he's undeniably skilled.

Runner Ups: GGG, DeGale, Pacquiao, Marquez, Inoue

Not at all. Maybe agree with the people on their with the exception of Cotto, but definitely not the order. How'd they drop Wlad to 9? :heh:
