Kenyon Martin
- "This Jones kid, it's like having a point guard with Lebron James, it defeats the fukking purpose of a pass first point guard"
- "So Kevin Durant gonna stand in the corner?? So Bradley Beal gonna stand in the corner??"
- "You know good and damn well when KD, Booker, or Beal get the rebound, they are not gonna outlet the ball to him!!!!"

:dead::dead::dead::laff:

Hmmm let's see. He averaged 12.7 assists a game, led the league in assists to turnover ratio for 6 straight seasons. Suns tried the "point guard by committee" style of play and were dysfunctional

But yeah, they don't need him :russ:

Neither of the Big 3 are gonna play together during the season most times due to injuries or rest. Tyus is is gonna be needed to settle them down and run offense.

But them taking the ball from him like Carlton sounds like some fukkery I'd have to see tho :russ:

Relying on KD-Beal-Booker to do my turn your turn offense is partially why their season went the way it did

Getting a vet floor general will do wonders for them

If you ever needed further proof that being great at playing basketball doesn’t automatically translate to being good at analyzing basketball, watch a few episodes of Gil’s show

It’s not about not “needing” him. They clearly need a facilitator. But is he gonna even be allowed to play that actual role with those other guys on the court??

This was always the obvious issue when the Beal trade was made. You got three guys who need the ball (and deserve it, and can handle it) but none of them are built to play that facilitator role. Plus if you have Book, Tyus, and Beal on the court at the same time, you’re gonna get carved up defensively.

The logical move is that Beal needs to come off the bench, start Grayson or O’Neale at the 3

I feel what he’s saying because I thought a point guard was redundant too. But after last season, you gotta try it if this high level of a player is available. It can’t hurt and can only help.

They won 49 games last year

They don't need a point guard. They need 70 games from Beal(lol) and rebounding.

I get what Kenyon is saying about the offense. Frank Vogel doesn’t have the greatest sets. Could’ve ran a Princeton offense easy with those guys. They just need a better offense better sets.
