It matters to me, because any pretext you can grant the government in getting cover for its actions to further enslave you or kill you is a negative.
If you would rather have weapons off the black market so be it, I think that is a terrible course to go.
In a war you know your opponent has weapons, you typically know troop numbers, and weapon capabilities, its adjusting to the tools on the table, logistics in supporting your army and overall strategy and localized tactics of commander.
All which has very little importance with regard to small arms. If you are talking modern warfare you are talking artillery, not pistols and rifles.
On top of that hiding and not training because you don't want your enemy to know is foolish because it leaves your soldiers unprepared and at a disadvantage to the opposing force that is training and drilling and preparing for war.

Don't agree with you assesment of there being no whites without blacks. What we call white come from centuries of in fighting, they haven't wiped themselves out and this was the case even with the USSR and the USA at the brink of launching a nuclear war that could have destroyed all life on the planet or a majority of the life on this planet. Black people aren't the only thing stopping them from killing each other.
